Service Provision Description:
The Lo(u)cotório project aims to contribute to a more informed community in mental health, consolidating its ability to combat the stigma associated with mental illness. Its mission is to disseminate information in the area of mental health literacy, through the training of educational agents belonging to the Secondary Schools on the island of São Miguel, as well as the dissemination of audiovisual material and artistic production to raise awareness about mental health, aimed at young and adult community in the Autonomous Region of the Azores. The Lo(u)cotório project aims to establish partnerships and networking with other community structures, in order to contribute to building more skills and participation in the area of Mental Health promotion. Investment in mental health education, in a community context, constitutes the main challenge of this Lo(u)cotório project, which focuses on a multidimensional approach.
