Service Provision Description:
The MarSP project "Macaronesian Maritime Spatial Planning" is a project that aims to propose Maritime Spatial Planning Plans (MSP) in the three Outermost Regions of Macaronesia – Azores, Madeira and Canaries, along under the EU Directive on MSP (2014/89/EU) according to an Ecosystem Based Approach.
More specifically, the MarSP project aims to develop concrete actions for the Member States (Portugal and Spain) to build the capacities and tools necessary for the implementation of the EU Directive on MSP (Directive 2014/89/EU) in the Macaronesia region, including cross-border cooperation mechanisms. With the objective of strengthening the Maritime Planning Space in the Macaronesia archipelagos (Azores, Madeira and Canary Islands), MarSP provides adequate management tools, adapted to the regional environmental and socio-economic reality. scenery of each Macaronesia archipelago.
