Main Objectives:
The present volume, in addition to the recognized tribute from the academic-scientific community to Rosa Baptista Goulart and Fernando Vieira-Pimentel, retired Full Professors of the University of the Azores, both with an invaluable scientific and pedagogical role in the process of consolidating the then Department of Modern Language and Literature (today the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures, part of the young Faculty of Social and Human Sciences), presents a fruitful and multifaceted dialogue between literary studies and other disciplinary spheres relevant to the field of social and human sciences. It has employees from several higher education institutions, ours, of course, but also from other regions of the country and even Spain. The volume, once published, will be made available to the documentation services of these institutions, as well as to the national libraries and to the documentation, archive and library services of the RAA (BPAR de Ponta Delgada, Angra and Horta; SD of the three poles of the University of the Azores ; municipal libraries; school libraries), with the aim of contributing to the knowledge of the vitality and importance of a field of thought and action such as that of the social and human sciences.
