Main Objectives:
The Azores Archive is a collection of historical documentation relating to this archipelago, whose importance is recognized by historians as well as researchers from other scientific areas. Started in 1878, it currently has 20 volumes. After the publication of volume 5 of the 2nd series, and due to lack of funding, the publication was stopped. But in 2021, thanks to the recognition of public interest in the work by DRCT, production resumed, with two new volumes currently being prepared, coordinated by Professor Doctor Mário Viana, from the University of the Azores.
