Main Objectives:
In collaboration with the Laboratory of Systems and Technologies of the University of Porto, the promoter intends to co-organize an advanced course related to maritime robotics and its applications, to take place in 2022 in Lajes do Pico and for which it is requested financial support from DRCTD. The aim of this course is to help establish bridges between the practice of robotics in the field and applications. To this end, the course will have a strong practical orientation, and the applications will be organized around problems of observation of the ocean. For this purpose, robotic means will be made available that will be used in the field, from the first day. Monitoring will be carried out by experts in robotics and marine science. There will also be sessions with world-renowned experts from the US, Europe and Australia.
