Main Objectives:
The 1st PAI-CV event has as one of its main objectives, to increase paleontological knowledge about the Cape Verde archipelago, and thus, also that of Macaronesia. This aim will be achieved by bringing together a group of researchers specializing in biology, geology and paleontology, all with extensive experience in fieldwork in these areas. The exchange of knowledge between them will not only be carried out in situ, during visits to fossiliferous outcrops, but also during the Lecture Cycle, which will serve as a basis for: 1) preparation of scientific articles to be submitted for publication in international journals with impact factor; 2) subsequent dissemination in international Congresses and/or Seminars of the specialty). Additionally, the participation of university students in carrying out scientific work highlights the prominent place that the fossiliferous deposits of this archipelago have in their doctoral project.
