Main Objectives:
The main objectives of "BioMateria 5.0" include disseminating recent research and developments in the field of biomaterials, promoting the sustainable use of natural resources in the creation of biomaterials, and facilitating interdisciplinary collaborations between researchers. Furthermore, the event seeks to create training and professional development opportunities through lectures, practical sessions and round tables, and establish the Biomaterials Research Center at the University of the Azores, consolidating a center of excellence in research and innovation.
Project Description:
"BioMateria 5.0" is the first workshop dedicated to sustainable materials for biomedical applications, scheduled to take place on October 30, 2024 at the University of the Azores, in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel. This event aims to bring together researchers, students, professionals in the field of biomaterials and biotechnology, as well as industry representatives, to discuss and explore the latest innovations and developments in the field, with a clear focus on sustainability.
