Main Objectives:
The “Science Walk” project aims to disseminate, among the Secondary Schools of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, areas of knowledge that are decisive for the progress of the Country, and in particular of the Region, developing in Secondary School students a taste for Science and Technology. The 2019 edition will include six schools, namely the Basic and Secondary School of Flores; Basic and Secondary School of Velas de São Jorge; Primary and Secondary School of Calheta de São Jorge; Basic and Secondary School Cardeal Costa Nunes on the island of Pico; Graciosa Elementary and Secondary School, and Santa Maria Elementary and Secondary School. The guests will give lectures in the scientific areas related to the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of the Azores, areas that are structuring for a diverse range of degree courses.
