Service Provision Description:

The project entitled “THE CATL AS CONTEXTS FOR PROMOTING DEVELOPMENT AND FACILITATION OF SCHOOL SUCCESS” has the general objective of understanding whether attending a CATL makes a difference in terms of development and facilitation of children's school success.< /p>

More specifically, we intend to analyze whether there are differences between children who attend and do not attend CATL in terms of: social skills, aptitudes for school learning, school performance, creative potential and problematic behaviors. In order to explore the hypothesis that children enrolled in CATL and those who do not attend them may present different levels of development and school performance, two groups of children, residing on the island of São Miguel, will be intensively studied: one of children enrolled in CATL and another for children who are not enrolled in them.

Groups will be matched for key variables: age, gender, grade level, grade level.
