Main Objectives:

The problems of poverty and social exclusion acquire different contours and diverse implications throughout the life course. This conference aims to promote reflection and debate between academic and non-academic audiences around the multiple configurations of the phenomenon of poverty and processes of social exclusion, taking as a reference the different ages and transitions throughout the life course, and also , analyze the response of public policies to face these challenges.

Project Description:

The conference therefore focuses on discussing the factors and effects, in the short and long term, of poverty and social exclusion, particularly in relation to topics such as access to housing, family dynamics, work and income inequalities. gender. The role of public policies in supporting individuals at different moments in their life trajectories, from childhood to old age, will also be addressed, in order to mitigate the effects of poverty and exclusion in the areas considered. The aim is, in this way, to promote a deeper understanding of these issues and develop more effective approaches for policy-making and social intervention on these matters.
