Main Objectives:
The colloquium is dedicated to an outstanding figure of Azorean culture and rightly recognized at national level. Its main objective is to study his philosophical work, also covering other areas that José Enes cultivated such as poetry, literary studies, politics, the Atlantic dimension of Portugal, the university and pedagogy. The presence of speakers representing several Portuguese universities will provide a special opportunity for discussion and in-depth appreciation of a rich and multifaceted work.
Project Description:
The event's theme is the work of José Enes, taken in its different dimensions, bringing together scholars from various Portuguese universities. It is scheduled for three days: two at the University of the Azores, Ponta Delgada Campus (October 10th and 11th) and Catholic University of Lisbon (October 18th). The colloquium was the subject of a "Call for papers".
