Project FCT-PRR - CICS.UAc

This funding aims to support the acquisition of equipment or the completion of renovation and/or modernization projects of the Scientific Research Unit (UID) Interdisciplinary Center for Social Sciences, with the acronym CICS.UAc, Pole of the University of the Azores, results from the process of integrating researchers from the Center for Social Studies of the University of the Azores (CES-UA), into the Interdisciplinary Center for Social Sciences of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (CICS.NOVA). CICS.NOVA.UAc is a decentralized unit of CICS.NOVA, focused on the development of scientific research, training, cultural extension and provision of services to the community, in an interdisciplinary way and with an emphasis on the following scientific areas: a) Sociology; b) Demography; c) Psychology; d) Education Sciences.

The Financing aims to update and restructure the Scientific Research Unit (UID), including its digital transformation and aims to acquire large scientific equipment, sets of scientific instruments, scientific files and data, other knowledge-based resources, computing and programming systems, communication networks that promote open access and/or other instrumental infrastructures to stimulate excellence in research and innovation activities.
