Project Description:
The MicroSent project is co-financed by FEDER, through the Direção Regional do Planeamento e Fundos Estruturais under the Azores 2030 Program in 85% and in 15% by RAA through the Direção Regional da Ciência, Inovação e Desenvolvimento, through the PROSCIENTIA Incentive System.
MicroSent is a project that advances the investigation of microbial ecosystems in the Azores, using technologies such as HTS, bioinformatics and AI. By integrating environmental data, microbial analytics and citizen science, it aims to improve understanding of marine microbial diversity and ecosystem functions, promoting sustainable ocean management and aligning with regional and international policies.
