Main Objectives:
The purpose of the financing is to support the acquisition of equipment or the completion of renovation and/or modernization projects of the Scientific Research Unit (UID) Institute of Volcanology and Risk Assessment, with the acronym IVAR, including its digital transformation and aims to acquire large scientific equipment, sets of scientific instruments, archives and scientific data, other knowledge-based resources, computing and programming systems, communication networks that promote open access and/or other instrumental infrastructures to stimulate excellence in research and innovation activities.
Project Description:
This financing falls under AAC nº2/C05-i13/2025 - EQUIPAR 2+, approved by the Intermediate Beneficiary Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) and the Recover Portugal Mission Structure (EMRP), under the financing contract signed between both entities. The investment is fully financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), within the scope of the European NextGenerationEU fund, aimed at the modernization and digital transformation of R&D Units to stimulate excellence in research and innovation.
