Project Description:
The PORBIOTA project is co-financed by the FEDER, through the Direção Regional do Planeamento e Fundos Estruturais under the Azores 2030 Program in 85% and in 15% by the RAA through the Direção Regional da Ciência, Inovação e Desenvolvimento, through the PROSCIENTIA Incentive System.
The AZORES BIOPORTAL will be expanded and modernized, reinforcing the Azores' leadership in biodiversity information technology. The project expands marine coverage, qualifies terrestrial data (georeferencing, habitats, identification keys) and improves usability and accessibility. With standardized data (Darwin Core), interoperable and integrated into GBIF, with advanced analysis, it will support European directives and RIS3, serving science, policies and citizens.
