The objectives of this project are the following: 1. Contribute to the characterization of unemployed young people from Micaelenses in terms of personal and contextual variables. 2. Analyze the role of motivational patterns in the job search behavior of unemployed youth; 3. Understand the life goals of unemployed young people from Micaelenses; 4. Determine the best predictors of active job search by unemployed young people from Micaelenses; 5. Understand some of the protective factors (eg, personal, family and social) in situations of unemployment; 6. Understand the psychosocial models underlying the trajectories of unemployment in the life paths of young people. 7. Analyze the impact of unemployment on the physical and psychosocial well-being of young people from São Paulo; 8. Propose ways of optimizing the active search for a job that include the motivation and involvement of the unemployed in an effective structure of activity, 9. Propose a model of analysis and intervention in young unemployed together with the agents involved in the viability of forms of employability .

- The subcontracting foreseen within the scope of the project concerns the collection and survey of statistical information, processing and transcription of interviews. It will be necessary to hire a full-time fellow for 12 to 18 months as well as remunerate the collection and application of the questionnaire by interviewers. - The missions concern the participation of team members to present the results in national and international conferences and congresses. Two trips to international conferences and three to national conferences or meetings are planned. In addition, the inter-island travel (Terceira and Faial) of team members to disseminate the results. -The amount allocated under this heading essentially concerns publicity material and photo-reproduction. - Digital and photocopy materials and supports. pamphlets etc. - It is intended for renting a conference amphitheater; - Team of street interviewers; - Typography services. -The amount allocated to this item is intended for the purchase of two audio-digital recorders for recording voice in in-depth interviews that enable digital conversion for treatment and processing. - Overheads charged by the University of the Azores, up to a limit of 20% of expenses (excluding subcontracts), are valued at €2500 of the total project.
