Service Provision Description:

This study helps to build the terms in which the problem of poverty is debated in Portuguese society. In particular, there is not much work on differences between people in poverty. In this sense, this study will significantly contribute for the debate to move from simply discussing the issue of the incidence of poverty (and to a lesser extent its intensity) to diversifying it (without losing sight of the central importance of the previous question). This diversification means that issues related to the different ways of experiencing poverty and being poor can be discussed with much greater acuity, as well as a better understanding of the impact that people's characteristics and their life circumstances have on their situation of poverty.
