Main Objectives:
Publication of a book with a collection of articles on the History of Mathematics and Science, in a summary
retrospective of the four meetings that took place at the University of the Azores, in order to record the various
participations and communications that enriched the interconnection between colleagues from various areas of science and from different
Universities both nationally and internationally.
In these meetings, held between 2011 and 2018, in which the dissemination of different themes of
investigation, there was an intense sharing of knowledge and a personal enrichment that is now placed in
book.
Ties were created and links between universities and different countries were strengthened, where Mathematicians, Statisticians,
Physicists, Historians, Chemists, Librarians, Engineers, Computer Scientists, and the curious made known, in a way
peculiar, which they did taking care to consider the origin, course, development and
what has been done so far.
