Project MyTime

The main objective of the MyTime project is to preserve, document and promote the convent sweets heritage of Terceira island, through the creation of a digital platform based on the metaverse that provides immersive cultural tourism experiences. The project aims to bridge the gap between historical preservation and digital innovation, positioning Terceira's culinary traditions as a unique and heritage attraction within sustainable tourism. MyTime's goals align with cultural preservation, sustainable tourism and digital mediation, offering a model that leverages advanced technologies to ensure that intangible cultural heritage is preserved locally and made accessible globally.

The MyTime project is co-financed by FEDER, through the Direção Regional do Planeamento e Fundos Estruturais under the Azores 2030 Program in 85% and in 15% by RAA through the Direção Regional da Ciência, Inovação e Desenvolvimento, through the PRO-SCIENTIA Incentive System.

The MyTime Project aims to contribute to the tourist offer in the Azores, combining digital technology with cultural heritage in order to contribute to the sustainable development of the Region, focusing on the island of Terceira. The project focuses on the connection between Digital Tourism and Cultural Heritage to diversify and qualify local attractions, focusing specifically on gastronomy and convent sweets as a reflection of Azorean culture.
