1. Contribute to the study and scientific knowledge of the religious heritage of the Azores. 2. Carry out a survey/inventory of the intangible, movable and archival religious heritage of São Miguel, gathering all pre-existing inventories, updating such inventories, transferring them to safer and more interoperable platforms and formats, as well as producing inventories of heritage assets of meaning and not yet inventoried. 3. Study the intangible manifestations of São Miguel's religious heritage, in its main forms and typologies. 4. Study the movable religious heritage of São Miguel, in its various forms of expression, among others, in the scope of sculpture, painting, metals, textiles, devotional objects, furniture, equipment and utensils, ceramics, integrated heritage and bibliographic collection. 5. Study the documentary and archival religious heritage of São Miguel, as a heritage object, source of information for the history and culture of the island, record / memory of experiences and practices of religious and community life, as well as the organic and functional expression of religious structures . 6. Produce and provide information on the project's results via the Web, through public days and workshops, as well as from scientific and technical publications.
